One of the exported products of Belize is also the cacao. The exportation is not that popular as the banana and the citrus, but also plays a major role in bringing money in the economy of Belize. The cacao is mainly grown south of Belize in the Toledo District. The cacao is exported so that companies around the world can produce chocolate, for example snickers, kit kat, Hershey, and the list goes on. Without these plants the world would not have chocolate. The Mayas also used these plants as currency before the coins were made, this is how they used to pay and trade for goods. This fruit is traditionally used to make natural chocolate and also some pourage, cofee and tea, it is also eaten raw.
