Jackass Bitters

Jackass Bitters locally known as Kayamim, Tres Puntas, Mano de Lagarto, and scientifically known as Nevrieana Lobata is a commonly used herb in Mayan herbal healing. It can be boiled and drunk as tea to purify the blood and to treat internal infections. It is also used as an anti-malarial and for general health. Applied to the skin, it treats fungal infections and acts as a general antibiotic. It can be found growing along roadsides and in fields and is one of the few plants with which female and male plants are used interchangeably. The Mayans drink the Jackass Bitters for a week, three times a year to stay in good health and prevent diseases like cancer and diabetes.
