HI! THIS WEEK I WILL BE TALKING OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CITY ARCHITECTURAL HISTORIC STRUCTURES. THE GEORGE PRICE CENTER OF PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT HAS ESTABLISHED IN HONOR OF HONORABLE GEORGE PRICE AND HIS LIFELONG DEVOTION TO THE PEACEFUL CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF BELIZE AND IT’S PEOPLE. THE FUNCTIONS OF THE CENTER ARE VARIED : IT IS SERVE AS A MUSEUM, A RESOURCE, AND TRAINING CENTER AS WELL AS CULTURAL BUSINESS . THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BUILDING OF BELIZE IS THE HOME OF BELIZE’S TWO HOUSES OF THE PARLIAMENT , HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE (LOWER HOUSE) AND SENATE OF BELIZE. IT OPENED ON OCTOBER 9,1971. THE BUILDING IS WITHIN A COMPLEX OF GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS AT MELHADO PARADE AT INDEPENDENCE PLAZA IN BELMOPAN, THE BUILDING IS FLANK BY TWO THREE STOREY BUILDINGS HOUSES OFFICES, THIS MONUMENT REPRESENTS TWO TYPES OF POLITICS(PUP AND UDP) AND ALSO THE BELMOPAN CITY. THE ARCH MONUMENT WAS GIVEN TO BELIZE BY MEXICO ON BELIZE’S 10 ANNIVERSARY OF THE INDEPENDENCE. NICH, THE BELIZE ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM (THE BELMOPAN MUSEUM) IS THE NATIONAL MUSEUM IN BELMOPAN BELIZE. IT FEATURES EXHIBITS OF MAYAN ARCHEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES AND EXPLORES SOME 300 YEARS OF MAYAN HISTORY. GEORGE GABB WAS THE MAN WHO MADE THE FREEDOM OF THOUGHTS SCULPTURES AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE CITY OF BELMOPAN IN JANUARY 2000. IT REPRESENTS “A STRIKING FIGURE MOVING FORWARD USING ALL PAST TEACHINGS AS SPRINGBOARDS AND NOT MILLSTONES AROUND OUR NECKS”
